Assignment for Monday February 3

1. Read "The Ancient Age (2)" (Canvas). This contains more works by poets who were collected in the Man'yoshu.

2. Read the short Wikipedia article about the Kokinshů (Collection of Ancient and Modern Poems).

3. Read "Kokinshu Preface (new scan) in Module 3 "The Classical Age" in Canvas. The parts of the text with a black line in the margin are required reading.
